All my new enameled yummies can be found here. And the assemblage pieces here. So many wonderful artisans helped out with their yummy components. Thanks for looking! xoxo

some new designs~
i love my antique & vintage shell buttons! years ago (like 10, wow!) i would cut old rusty cans found in the arroyo dumps & flatten the metal, file the edges & weave shell buttons onto the slices creating earrings that sold like hotcakes. then i started teaching & left that world behind. the other day though, i took my old idea & put it forth with enameled bottle caps.
i added some chain & there you have it. then...
i took the whole caps that i make as components & wove some shell buttons onto them.
the backs have little nipples made from hematite beads wrapped with the copper wire. i love the backs!

~newbie
many months ago, as a newbie to the national boards, i waffled back and forth on what to do with crafting jewelry and my shop. open.close.open.close.destash.quit. as i became more in-tune with the process and figured out the scope of the project, i realized i was simply unsure how crafting would fit into my new life (working a ton beyond my existing workload) yet it never really left, did it? no siree. i even find now that, as i ruminate over passages and lesson plans and video taping and how to reach my students, i go putter while i process. it works! not only can i create and play, but doing just a little something every day has had a rewarding effect. you all didn't believe i could stop and you were soooo right! i just needed to find the fit. so whether i'm packaging a sale, making something new or uploading something i've never listed before, i am still in the national boards mindset. thinking.thinking.thinking. i spend so much time thinking and doing and creating and being. it's exciting to say the least. today i've listed a choker i made before the recycled art show. it's great with a plunging neckline! xoxo

a scholarship and open shop~
Happy New Year!
as you many of you know, i've been working towards
my national boards for professional teaching standards. it has been an exciting
experience, well worth it and very telling. i'm not done! not until june. i've
been fundraising like mad and didn't want to spend a dime on anything but the boards then, i got a
scholarship and a refund! i'm feeling so blessed. so i re-upped etsy now that i can afford it and want
to share with you! these are my favs from my jewelry shop and one from my destash shop. what a great
christmas present to have the boards paid for and i'm looking forward to a
great new year! love to you all. appreciate all of your support! xoxo

link to bead soup reveal and new destash shop~
my bead soup blog hop reveal post is here. for some reason it is not showing up in feeds. blah, but it's a fun post, so enjoy.
and
a DESTASH SHOP!
i've decided to part with many of my supplies. so, i started slowly adding them to this new little etsy shop. you can see the mini at the top right of the blog as well. LOTS of MOP buttons to destash and some extraordinary steel cut french beads that i have the most of. the rest of the items are one shot only.
i'm starting to work on my national boards and have realized that creating on the weekends will soon be replaced with intense writing and proving and rationalizing and researching and...so i need to, because of my personality, retrain myself in how i use my time. when all is said in done in a few years, i can always resupply and enjoy creating again, but for now, my creations will be in the written form proving my worth as an educator and passionate professional.
here are some offerings. cheers!
