Here we are! The "We're All Ears :: 5th Annual Use Your Leftovers Challenge!"

I haven't participated in a challenge for some time now. Two separate jobs in the education field, in conjunction with my amazing family, has kept me busy! But here goes...

My table. I work in an old bedroom that was my daughter's. Still a bed and some other stuff in there, but mostly mine. I keep my table nice and tidy, for the most part, as I also do school work in there.

I looked at what was there to offer, and starting compiling.

So I grabbed the bead board and started arranging components I thought would go well together. The bottle cap was one of many that I eventually I transformed!

First up sold right away. Coral beads, turquoise drops by HappyFishThings, and little faceted soldered jade bits from CrowCacheSupplies.

Next up was a lovely pair made from dangles by ScorchedEarthonEtsy and poly clay beads by ShipWreckDandySupplies. 

Here we have a lovely facial expression pair made from the clay beads of FoxPaws, drops of faceted stones and  a little metal bead cap.

wow! feels like forever since i've enameled a bottle cap. got out the hammer and pounded them into a conical shape then off to the torch! embellished with components from kim at numinosity beads. i call them fireball. lol you can find them in my enamels shop. xoxo

my husband was approached by some mountain bikers looking for a trail head. he offered to take them up the mountain and ride down with them. two days in a row he's been hanging with them. one of the guys turns out to be the bass player for the foo fighters, the other, and old employee of his from 20 years back who now works as a sound manager. tom blames his good fortune for great new riding buddies on the super moon. i made these earrings to wear to the concert. :)

~oops!

i tripped on the sidewalk. was putting my phone away as i was rushing to my car. didn't see the transition. flew ass over tit. ok, not really, but that was fun to say. just flew and hit my head on the pavement. a few more inches and i would've been in the traffic lane, as i landed between two cars, one being mine.
i am thanking my lucky stars. but concussion confirmed. two days later my eyes suddenly went black and blue. now it is in my jaws, but the doc says it's normal. gonna freak out my students more than so far! the poor babies just kept staring at my forehead and eyes. i didn't stay long at work. too hard to focus and too hard to listen. so out of it, but this shall pass. in the mean time i managed to eek out a few thing, but i gotta tell ya, it hurt and went painfully slow. not my usual top speed. bleh!
but, on the upside, i breath and breath and thank you for breathing too!

it's spring break from my day job so i'm playing. got my bike tuned up and am ready to rock and roll! here's a magnet i made marrying two of my favorite things. a torch enameled beer bottle cap and a bike cog.
